In these Terms & Conditions, "CrossFit Putney" means 3M Fitness Limited, company number 11593109 which provides the Club and its facilities for the benefit of Members; "Member" means the member named on the Member Submission, and "Membership" is the membership by a Member of the Club, which starts upon CrossFit Putney receiving the first month membership fee upfront from the Member; "Club" means CrossFit Putney; "Contract" means the contract between CrossFit Putney and the Member subject to these Terms & Conditions; "Member Submission" means the online form completed by the Member to join the Club; “Guest” means individuals purchasing single drop in visits to the Club.

By submitting the Member Submission and becoming a Founding Member, the Member is agreeing to these Terms and Conditions and entering into a legally enforceable contract with CrossFit Putney.


Membership is subject to these Terms & Conditions as amended from time to time. Submission of a Member Submission is an offer to CrossFit Putney to become a Member of the Club subject to these Terms & Conditions. CrossFit Putney reserves the right to reject any application for Membership.

Membership is available to individuals of 18 years of age and over, subject to status. Upon being accepted to the Club’s Membership scheme, the Member consents to having their photograph taken by CrossFit Putney to confirm their identity upon entry, and consents to having their photograph taken at any time whilst using the facilities, excluding changing rooms. CrossFit Putney reserves the right to use any such photographs for press and/or promotional purposes.


CrossFit Putney offers 3 Founding Membership packages depending on how often the Member would like to train. All 3 options have a range of contract lengths to give Members a choice of price versus flexibility.

The 3 Founding Membership types are:

  1. 1) 3 Sessions a Week- £159 a month
  2. 2) 5 Sessions a Week- £179 a month
  3. 3) Unlimited Sessions a Week- £209 a month

For all the Founding Memberships, the first month’s payment is taken upfront when the Member submits their Founding Membership Submission.

When the opening date for CrossFit Putney’s is known, the Members first month, which they have paid upfront for on submission of their Founding Membership Submission will start on that date. They will not be billed on this date. The 2nd month payment will be taken pro rata a month after the gym has opened. The payments will then start regularly on the 1st of the next month.

Here is an example for a Member purchasing 3 sessions a week:

  1. Member purchased on the 15th August- £159 payment taken.
  2. CrossFit Putney opens on 26th August (example date)- No payment taken as initial payment of £159 covers the first month open
  3. 26th September- Pro Rata payment taken for the rest of September- £26.14
  4. 1st October- Full payment of £159 a month
  5. Subsequent payments taken the 1st of every month


A Member can decide between the following contract lengths:

  • ‘Rolling Month Contract’– minimum term of one full calendar month from the opening date.
  • ‘3 Month Membership’ – minimum term of three full calendar months from the opening date.
  • ‘6 Month Membership’ – minimum term of six full calendar months from the opening date.
  • ‘12 Month Membership’ – minimum term of twelve full calendar months from the opening date.

For contract lengths longer than a Rolling Contract Members will receive the following free weeks/months in addition to their contract minimum term:

  • 3 Month Contract- 1 week Free
  • 6 Months Contract- 2 weeks Free
  • 12 Months Contract - 2 Months Free

The Free weeks/months are not included in the contract length.

The Free weeks/months, which members will not be billed for will be worked into the Members payment plan as follow:

  • 3 Month Contract- 1 week in Month 4 are free
  • 6 Month Contract- 2 weeks in Month 7 is free
  • 12 Month Contract- Month 6, 14 are free.

A Pro Rata Month will not count towards a Members Minimum Contract term, unless at the discretion of CrossFit Putney. i.e if CrossFit Putney open on 6th of the month CrossFit Putney may agree that this month counts towards a minimum term length.

All Memberships have a minimum contract term as stated above, and Memberships will continue to a Rolling Month Contract after the minimum term has expired at the current cost of that membership.

The Member agrees by becoming a Member that payments will be automatically made on the due dates by credit or debit card with the payment details taken upon submission of the Founding Membership Submission.


CrossFit Putney offers a number of Member Benefits which are subject to the following conditions.

  • An induction if you are new to CrossFit

Through discussions with CrossFit Putney it will be decided if a member needs this. Members will receive notifications through CrossFit Putney of how to book this.

  • A Member T shirt
  • A CrossFit Putney protein shaker
  • A number of discounts in your Member gift box to be used at CrossFit Putney and with our partners.

Additional Member Benefits for Founding Members purchasing a 3 month contract

  • 1 week Free Membership

The 1 week will be in addition to the Members minimum 3 month contract term. After paying 3 full months the Member will be automatically placed on a Monthly Rolling Contract with a 1 week credit note applied to the first month after their contract period. The next month will revert to the standard membership rate unless the membership is cancelled by the Member.

Additional Member Benefits for Members purchasing a 6 month contract

  • 2 weeks Free Membership

The 2 weeks will be in addition to the Members minimum 6 month contract term. After paying 3 full months the Member will be automatically placed on a Monthly Rolling Contract with a 2 week credit note applied to the first month after their contract period. The next month will revert to the standard membership rate unless the membership is cancelled by the Member.

Additional Member Benefits for Members purchasing a 12 month contract

  • 2 Months Free Membership

TThe Free Months will be in addition to the Members minimum 12 month contract term. After paying 5 full months the Members 6th month will be free. The member will then pay another 7 full months and the Members 14th Month will be free. They will then be automatically placed on a Monthly Rolling Contract unless the membership is cancelled by the Member.


Class Packages will become available to purchase when CrossFit Putney opens for people who will be training less frequently than the Founding Membership packages.


Membership is payable in advance, monthly as per the Membership type selected. Monthly fees will be debited on or around the 1st of each month. In the event that the Member falls into arrears in respect of any fees payable, all arrears must be settled before the Member can use the Club.

Monthly Membership fees may be increased at the discretion of and at any time by CrossFit Putney, to take effect after the Member's minimum term subject to at least one calendar month's written notice. Changes to pricing for new joiners may be made without notice.

Where the monthly payment method is Direct Debit, Members are required to provide CrossFit Putney with debit or credit card details as a secondary means of payment ("Payment Guarantee"). If any Membership payment remains outstanding beyond the due date, the Member's signature on the Payment Guarantee constitutes the Member's unconditional and irrevocable authority to debit the nominated card for the total amount due without notice to the Member.


Members on a Monthly Membership contract may cancel their Membership only after or with effect from the end of the minimum term, by giving one full calendar month's advance written notice, effective from the 1st of the following month. This should be done by emailing [email protected]

Members cannot cancel membership once they become a Member by Submitting their Founding Membership Submission and their upfront Founding Membership payment is taken or until their minimum contractual term has passed.

After the minimum contract length Memberships will automatically renew on to a Rolling Monthly Membership at the rate for that package at that time.


Any Member may apply for their Membership to be frozen or unfrozen by submitting a request to [email protected]

The minimum freeze period is one full calendar month, commencing on the 1st day of the month, with a maximum of six full consecutive calendar months.

A Member must request the freeze by the 20th day of the month prior to the requested freeze start date. For example, a Member who wishes to freeze commencing 1st February, must complete the request by 20th January. A freeze request completed on 21st January would only be eligible for a freeze start date as of 1st March.

Freeze periods will not count towards a Member's contractual term, and will extend any applicable minimum term by the number of frozen months taken. Membership may not be frozen during the notice period of cancellation.

Members can only freeze or unfreeze their membership once in a 12 month period.

Freezing for reasons of illness, injury or pregnancy will be reviewed and leniency may be applied in relation to the fee and notice period; valid medical documentation must be attached to the request for this to be considered. If valid dated documentation is provided, a freeze due to medical/injury reasons may be backdated, providing no usage has been registered on the Member’s account. In such circumstances, no refund would be due and any fees paid would be credited to future Membership payments.

Any Member who requests to freeze their Membership under the Terms and Conditions will not be able to access the Club during the frozen period, either via their Membership or purchase of a Guest Pass. A Member must apply to unfreeze their Membership if wishing to use the Club during the frozen period. In order to unfreeze a Membership, a pro rata fee for the remainder of the then current month will be payable.


Full details of normal opening hours are available upon request at CrossFit Putney. CrossFit Putney reserves the right to vary normal opening hours, temporarily remove the access to certain equipment, or to temporarily close certain areas of any Club from time to time without notice for various purpose including for cleaning, decorating, repairs, refurbishment, or for special functions and holidays.


All Club users must complete a health questionnaire (PARQ) and sign a waiver before entry. If any medical conditions are disclosed, the user must confirm that they have sought medical advice or wish to use the Club without doing so, and that they take full responsibility for any injury or health condition sustained whilst using the facilities arising from their medical condition. CrossFit Putney staff are not medically trained and are therefore not qualified to assess whether the Club user is in appropriate physical condition to use the facilities. CrossFit Putney advises all Club users to take medical advice prior to starting any exercise programme if they are in any doubt as to their ability to do so.

The Member warrants and represents upon their Founding Membership Application Form, and repeats such warranty upon each visit to the Club, that they are in good physical condition and know of no medical or other reason why they should not engage in any form of exercise, and that such exercise would not be detrimental to their health, safety, comfort or physical condition.


CrossFit Putney may terminate a Membership without notice and with immediate effect if:

  1. The Member breaches these Terms & Conditions, either repeatedly or because of one serious breach
  2. Any due fees remain unpaid after any request for payment by CrossFit Putney;
  3. CrossFit Putney is of the opinion (acting in its discretion) that the Member is not suitable for continued Membership
  4. The Member puts the health, safety or well-being of staff or other Members or Guests at risk.
  5. All decisions made by CrossFit Putney under this clause are final and binding. CrossFit Putney is unlikely to accept a new application for Membership from someone whose Membership has been terminated in accordance with this clause


Members are responsible for advising CrossFit Putney of changes to their personal information. Where CrossFit Putney is required to provide any written notification, CrossFit Putney will send the notice to the e-mail address on the Member Application Form or any updated e-mail address the Member has provided since joining. Any notice sent by CrossFit Putney in accordance with this clause will be deemed received by the Member two days from the date of sending.

CrossFit Putney takes the responsibility for looking after Members' personal information very seriously, and will only contact Members with information about the Club and CrossFit Putney services available.

In consideration for CrossFit Putney accepting an application for membership of the Gym, and for the applicant becoming and being a Member of the Gym, the Member agrees that:

  1. None of the Gym, the Company or their directors, employees or agents shall be liable for any loss, damage or theft of personal property belonging to the Member, guest of the Member occurring upon the Gym’s premises.
  2. None of the Gym, the Company or their directors, employees or agents shall be responsible for any death or injury, occurring upon the Gym’s premises or as a result of the use of facilities, food, beverage, supplements and/or equipment provided by the Gym, except to the extent that such death or personal injury arises from any negligent act or negligent omission of the Gym, the Company or any agent or employee of the Gym or the Company


CrossFit Putney may from time to time amend these Terms & Conditions, including the introduction of any additional terms and conditions, and will notify Members. Any changes will be effective immediately.


A completed Member Submission, these Terms & Conditions, and the PARQ make up a binding contract of Membership with CrossFit Putney. Members are advised to read the Terms & Conditions in full before completing the Member Submission. The failure of CrossFit Putney to enforce any of its rights at any time for any period shall not be construed as a waiver of those rights. Any failure to identify or act upon a breach of the Terms & Conditions or Club Rules shall not be deemed to be an affirmation by CrossFit Putney that the behaviour of the Member or Guest is acceptable.

Except where permitted by this Contract, neither CrossFit Putney nor the Member may alter the terms of this Contract without the express agreement of the other.


These Terms & Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
